S. Gavalov, I. Zaidman, I. Popova Pediatric Dept. of Novosibirsk Medical Institute, Novosibirsk Poster at ECFC, Berlin, June 1998 Abstract Polyenzyme systemic therapy is a modern direction in medicine. It is based on the influence of hydrolytic enzyme complex on the main physiological and pathophysiological process. The main pharmacological characteristics of PE are: antiphlogistic, immunomodulatory, increase of antibiotic concentration in inflammatory region, improvement of blood rheology and increase of fibrinolytic activity of blood. 11 CF patients and 29 chronic obstructive purulent endobronchitis (COPB) children were treated with Wobenzym, from 9 to 18 tablets a day, depending on age. Wobenzym was prescribed together with basal therapy. Course of treatment was 15-30 days. The therapy efficiency has been evaluated by the data of clinical, bronchological, cytological, immunological methods. The viscosity of bronchial secretion and functional data of bronchial permeability (FEV1, PEF, MEF50-25) were determined in dynamics. The controls included 27 children with CF and COPB, who had not received Wobenzym. Our investigation showed positive results. The infavourable reaction have been observed in 7 children, 5 from them had stomachache and sickness and 2 - allergic rash. |
